Lower Bad Cholesterol Naturally
Can we control HDL levels?
My husband is 30 and we are trying to find non-medicating ways to help control his cholesterol. While he does have elevated LDL (bad) cholesterol it’s his low HDL (good) cholesterol that concerns us. It’s our understanding that specific diet changes are helpful in bringing down the LDL levels but there aren’t too many ways to naturally help increase HDL levels.
Has anyone had this same issue with cholesterol and found any ways to control it without medication? My husband doesn’t eat fish but does take fish oil tablets. He works out every weekday morning for an hour. This includes some cardio but mostly lifting. He drinks a synthetic protein drink each morning after his work out.
We have talked to our cardiologist and a nutritionist but didn’t really get answers we felt were useful.
What have you done?
What do you think might work?
Thanks!
Our diet is too rich in fat as well as calories, refined sugars, starches, and oils. At the same time, it is low in essential nutriments, minerals and other vital requirements. We are all agreed: the cholesterol found in the blood is made largely in the liver from fats in the diet. It is also believed that cholesterol is produced in the arterial walls themselves. But the main source and the one that we can to a great extent control is fat in our food.
By eliminating certain foods from your diet, by including others in the right amounts, and by the use of nutritional supplements, you can achieve at least a 50 per cent protection against heart attack.
the low-fat diet is the key for health.
